Developing a Succession Plan: We work with the key leaders of the business in identifying key gaps in the leadership structure and then prepare a detailed plan which highlights which internal staff have the potential to take on more responsibility over time. We also undertake a skills audit of existing staff and provide a short questionnaire to help determine who has the potential to step up. It is recommended the succession plan is reviewed every six months to ensure the outcomes are being delivered.
Training Plans: Once key individuals are identified in the succession plan, we assist you with developing a training plan which includes on and off the job training options. Training doesn't always mean spending money in training courses, it could be exposure to other divisions of the business or learning new skills from colleagues on the job. We can assist in finding appropriate training providers for external training courses via our extensive network of providers such as Leadership Management Australia and the Australian Industry Group. Keep in mind, there are many options for quality Government funded training courses which we can assist in sourcing for you which can extend the training budget further.
One on One Coaching: This involves structured meetings with key individuals identified in the succession plan and facilitating them to set their own goals which provide a win/win for the individual and the business. Each individual would receive a psychometric test conducted by Profiles XT. The coaching process is aimed at identifying and raising the awareness of the staff members strengths and weaknesses and how they can make practical improvements based on goal setting. We then keep staff accountable to achieving these goals and removing any road blocks through regular catch up meetings.
Secondments and Promotions: We can help you to identify opportunities to give your staff experience within the business via secondment and promotions where they can learn practical skills and more often than not teach others at the same time. We can assist in coordinating this and ensure the employment agreements are documented correctly and employment law obligations are adhered to.
